The Food Standards Agency is an independent government body set up to protect the public’s health and consumer relations in relation to food. When high profile scares happen such as the swine flu pandemic they have to make sure that they are communicating with key stakeholders in the most consistent, effective and efficient way.
They now rely on Rapide to keep their remote employees and associates up to date, wherever they are. They use Rapide Desktop, a messaging service that allows communications from PC to mobile and vice versa.
The FSA are able to manage their directory from any computer with an internet connection or by calling their dedicated Rapide Personal Assistant on 1500 from any Vodafone mobile or 09060 001 500 from any other phone.
As a result of implementing Rapide, the Food Standards Agency are able to communicate internally with employees quickly and effectively, enabling them to deliver vital updates and alerts to the people who need them most. When it comes to communications the service saves the agency both time and energy:
