The challenge
Hagemeyer UK is a division of one of the world's most successful value added business-to-business distribution services group, focusing on maintaining electrical materials, safety and operations products for businesses.
They have staff throughout the UK, with around 800 using company cars. Hagemeyer needs to regularly find out the mileage for each car and they asked Rapide to find a simple way of collecting this information every two weeks.
The solution
Rapide's automated service for Hagemeyer contacts all 800 drivers every month and the high mileage users are contacted twice a month to keep the figures up to date.
The process is simple. Rapide send all the drivers a text message asking them to reply with their registration number and mileage. If they do not respond, they are sent a reminder voice message from a senior staff manager requesting the same information as the text message.
This process saves Hagemeyer time every month. It also helps avoid expensive charges from their vehicle company if drivers go over their agreed mileage limits.
