"Text voting is a fun way to find out what people want, and it gives everyone the opportunity to voice their opinions!" Emma Johnson, Coca-Cola
The challenge
Every year the question of the Christmas party can become a drawn-out debate, with the intention of keeping everyone happy. Management and staff agreed that they would like to organise the most popular option, but the logistics of finding that out seemed too complicated and time consuming to be practical.
The solution
An "X factor-style" text vote.
Staff were given four different options to choose from labelled A, B, C or D. They sent a text with a keyword and their preferred option to register their vote. Consulting staff about the final decision reinforced the fact that their opinion mattered and it ensured the team arranged a party that would be popular with the most staff.
Emma was pleased with the results -
"The system was very easy to set up and once the number and options were sent out, the vote practically ran itself."
