Text Messages

Text messages are a simple, yet effective way of handling an incident. They are the perfect mode for communicating routine alerts such as IT problems, but they can also be an efficient way of checking on employee’s welfare after a more serious incident. Auditable replies mean that those in charge can instantly see who has got in touch and who still needs to be accounted for.

 

Voice

Voice messages are a way of striking a balance between fast communications and ensuring that enough information is included in your message to be effective and useful. Rapide offer a number of voice solutions that can be used to deliver effective content quickly.

Voice Broadcast

The Voice Broadcast service enables users to record a spoken message by dialling into the Rapide platform directly or by calling one of the Rapide Assistants who can manage the process. Up to three minutes of spoken message can be recorded at a time and then sent to individuals or predefined lists. The message is then delivered to your audience as an actual phone call that plays the recorded message to them. If for some reason they don't answer the call then the system will try to deliver it another three times before it stores it on our servers and then sends a text message with a phone number to dial to listen to the message. Perfect for field based employees who need to contact each other with urgent information.

 

Team Call & Listen

The Team Call and Listen platform allows users to record a spoken message using one phone number and then have an audience dial in to listen to it on another. Perfect for updates and alerts such as swine flu response processes or office availability/status in an emergency. It is such an easy to update system that callers can dial in multiple times in a day and pick up the very latest news and progress reports from those in charge.

 

Conference Call

Rapide offers 2 levels of Conference Call service, a basic and a premium level. The basic service allows anyone to set up a conference call immediately or schedule one for later. A reminder text message is sent to all invitees to join and there is no pre-registration needed and no set up charges. The premium service allows up to 256 people to dial in, with a separate line for the speaker and the audience. Live moderators are available to manage audience questions, the call can be recorded and much more. The speed and ease of setting up these services is vital in a high pressure situation such as an incident.
