The challenge
The Home Office is one of the largest government departments who deal with many services including Immigration. Their offices are spread all over the country. With over 15,000 staff in that department alone, they wanted a quick and efficient way to keep track of their stock of mobile phones, which is up to 6000 handsets.
The solution
We successfully verified 98% of the Home Office's mobile phones. Our audit showed that 28% of the phones were no longer in use, so the Home Office could cancel line rental on them - saving them money straight away.
The Home Office took this opportunity to verify pre determined information about their staff at the same time - including their current department, cost centre and location.
