IT Incidents

The Co-operative use Rapide conference call
and text messaging to communicate internally
regarding IT related incidents and outages.

Disaster Management

When Vodafone’s HQ flooded, Rapide helped
Vodafone to communicate with over 7,000
staff members.
Using voice broadcast and IVR systems
Vodafone were able to ensure that all
members of staff were kept completely up to
date, organised and knew exactly where to go
and how to respond in order to be able to
continue working effectively and efficiently.

Adverse Weather

AstraZeneca have an interactive voice recording
line (IVR) to update all employees in the event
of any adverse weather conditions. They
announce how to react, company policy and
organise staff enabling them to continue to
work with little or no disruption.

Health & Safety

When Incidents occur the NFU use Rapide to
update and inform their members about
health and safety.
During the foot and mouth crisis the President
of NFU, Peter Kelland, recorded a voice
message to make 20,803 livestock farmers in
England aware of the situation and advise
them of how to deal with the incident.

Customer Comms

Using Rapide, United Utilities are much more proactive. They use text messaging to inform their 2.9 million customers when there is a power cut and when their area supply is back on.
