Rapide for Incident Communications

Rapide provide a range of services for incident communications! From standard IT outage & failure right through to severe flood and weather warnings. Its unique combination of voice broadcast, IVR and SMS broadcasting along with its multi-channel ability to engage and utilise these services make invoking your disaster response quick, reliable and effective.

When Vodafone’s HQ flooded in Newbury and large parts of the site were under a foot of water, Rapide helped Vodafone to communicate with over 7000 staff members. Using voice broadcast and IVR systems Vodafone were able to ensure that all members of staff were kept completely up to date, organised and knew exactly where to go and how to respond in order to be able to continue working effectively and efficiently.

IVR explained:
An IVR system in its standard form is a dedicated phone number you dial to record a spoken update or message. Once done you can then invite your audience to dial in and listen to the message. It enables you to manage consistent and structured communications, hitting targeted audiences all at exactly the same time. Rapide offer a range of IVR that run from the basic format through to feature rich versions that allow your audience to leave feedback, score the communications, host multiple messages, menu systems and much more.

 

IT Incidents and Failures

Co-op use Rapide conference call and text to communicate internally regarding IT related incidents and outages.

 

Managing PR and brand image

Barclays have used voice broadcast to ensure that all staff are kept in the loop over stories and articles appearing in the news which may have caused damage to staff morale or public image following the recent banking crisis.

Threat response

Following on from the 7/7 bombings in London, Deloitte and Touche implemented Rapide as a mechanism for tracking the safety and whereabouts of their staff in the event of a terrorist or other danger based event.

 

Health and Safety

NFU use Rapide to update and inform their members about health and safety warnings and issues following outbreaks of foot and mouth, blue tongue and any other health and safety related issues.

Adverse weather : snow, flooding etc

AstraZeneca have a dedicated IVR line used to update all employees in the event of any adverse weather conditions. They can announce how to react, company policy and even organise staff enabling work to continue effectively and efficiently.

 

Employee safety and emergency planning

Sandwell MBC use Rapide to text alerts and updates for their emergency planning team. This allows them to co-ordinate communications internally and with external agencies in the event of a disaster.
