Rapide boys race 47,000 others to £1,200!

Three members of the Rapide team took on the Great North Run this September and achieved some impressive times. Not only did they achieve quick results but they managed to raise over £1200 for charities across the UK.
Client Manager Sam Taylor, Development Manager Ian Hurst and Software Developer Hardeep Johal all completed in this half marathon which took place in Newcastle on Sunday 30th September 2007 and attracted 47,000 runners from all over the world.
Client Manager, Sam Taylor was the first member of the Rapide team to cross the line with an impressive time of 1hr 47mins in 5,123rd place, from a starting position of 41,825.

He said, “It’s great that we managed to raise so much money for charity by participating in the Great North Run. We all achieved some personal goals at the same time and got bitten by the running bug.
“The next goal is the Coventry half marathon where we’re all looking to take a big chunk out of our times.”
This run follows on from the company’s fundraising efforts over the last 12 months where the Rapide team have managed to raise over £1600 for charities in the UK and abroad bringing the total to over £2,800! |
