Mitchell & Butler owned Innkeeper’s Lodge ran a national advertising campaign promoting their ‘advanced saver’ offer. They asked Rapide to find them an immediate response mechanism so customers who were excited by the offer could request a brochure straight away. Rapide gave them a short code number.
The shortcode number was added to the advert and it was placed in the News of the World in the hopes it would attract some of the 4 million readers.
The campaign was a great success – the text service alone received 300% of the target response rate.
