From text message to email

Ricoh rely on Rapide to keep their employee communications efficient. They have 108,500 employees worldwide and offices in over 150 countries. Through Rapide they send out over ½ million text messages per year.
Just one of the solutions that Rapide provide Ricoh with is a ‘text to email’ service for their on the road engineers.

While offsite the engineers need to relay information back to their main offices. Previously they would have to pass this information on via a phone call to a call centre but this was proving time consuming and costly.
Now the engineers only need to send a text message with a unique code attached to direct where in the organisation the information needs to be sent. These messages are then automatically converted to an email and delivered to the relevant department within their call centre where it can be dealt with accordingly.
The service saves unnecessary inbound calls, improves customers’ satisfaction by quickly dealing with issues and allows the call centre to operate more efficiently.
