The challenge
Trudy Norris-Grey, President and Managing Director of Sun Microsystems wanted a way to send a personal Christmas message to over 2,000 staff before the festive break. She briefed her colleague, Barbara Jones, in late December 2006 to arrange it for her. This is where Rapide stepped in.
The solution
Barbara called Deborah Noakes, Service Manager at Vodafone to find out how Trudy could get her message to all staff mobile phones. Timing was crucial - there would be no point sending a Christmas message on 26th December and she needed the solution quickly.
Deborah asked Rapide Communication to deliver the project.
Trudy recorded her message, Vodafone provided the phone numbers and Rapide broadcast the message on Friday 22nd December - the last working day before Christmas.
The whole project was completed, from Barbara’s briefing, to the staff receiving their message, in under 5 days. Rapide was ready to deliver the messages within a working day of the phone numbers arriving.
